Facing a rather limited success of Windows 8 on smartphones, Microsoft needs strong partners to use its new ecosystem to a maximum of users.
Xiaomi, a logical partner
With market shares of more and more important in the world, is a manufacturer Xiaomi that attracts and interests. Due to its very large community in China and increasingly in Europe, Microsoft appears to be involved in a partnership with the Chinese giant. Initially focused on the Xiaomi Mi4, Windows 10 will be installed on the flagship via a ROM designed by Microsoft. Available to all users of the Mi4, Microsoft expects the users‘s feedback.
What is interested by Microsoft?
Established very well in the PC market, Microsoft still has a lot to do to get a place between Android and iOS. The idea of the American company is quite simple, allowing everyone to be able to try Windows 10 and its uses on a smartphone. What could be easier than making a Android ROM? OS holding huge market share in the mobile. And finally, why do not succeed in convincing manufacturers like Xiaomi design products on Windows? For if Windows 8 did not take off on mobile, it is mainly the lack of available devices except the Nokia Lumia. A Xiaomi Redmi Windows 10 would be a very big door open for Microsoft to the Chinese market.
