Unpacking and contents of the box:<\/h2>\n

The Jiayu S3 is very well packed in a box made of recycled cardboard, and is accompanied by a leaflet in English and Chinese, European battery charger with USB connectivity, making a content box a bit feeble, not hands-free kit, no cover or screen protector.<\/p>\n

It has a beautiful finish with a stiff mat full plastic shell, classic but effective, making this mid-range smartphone for decision in friendly hands (it weighs only 158 g).<\/p>\n

In terms of connectivity, there are two SIM card slots, a Micro SD slot, a 3.5 mm audio jack output and a USB input.<\/p>\n

Overall performance<\/h2>\n

It has a processor Core MediaTek MT6752 Octa, making it a fast and functional mid-range phone.<\/p>\n

We can compare this phone to a Samsung Galaxy S5, making it a phone quite interesting in terms of price, as a reminder, the Samsung model is twice as expensive as the Jiayu S3. It is also much more efficient, according Antutu, the Google Nexus 5, LG G3 or the HTC One.<\/p>\n

To check our statements, we passed our test phone via Antutu and 3DMark<\/p>\n

As you can see, the Jiayu S3 gets very good results in its class, and is among the best phones on the market.<\/p>\n

We have seen, the Jiayu S3 is quite efficient, but is it standard flow?<\/p>\n

Overall, I found it very fluid and pleasant to use for my daily use, the interface is quick and clear, with good picture quality and sound.<\/p>\n

Display Quality<\/h2>\n

Its screen measures 5.5 inches. Bright, pleasant, and very good quality, the Jiayu is very pleasant, whether watching a video or playing.<\/p>\n

The touchscreen responds very well, and is especially effective for writing mails or SMS.<\/p>\n

The screen quality is very good, and allows for really great image quality.<\/p>\n

Photo, Video and Audio<\/h2>\n

Before talking about the picture quality, it is interesting to note that Jiayu managed to equip the S3 with a Sony IMX214 camera. Let’s see if this is a guarantee of quality.<\/p>\n

With a 5 mega pixel camera front and 13 megapixels in the back, the camera is quite good for its category.<\/p>\n

Photo interior<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The video quality is also quite good with a clear and legible sound.<\/p>\n

The speakers are good too, and calls also.<\/p>\n

Software part<\/h2>\n

This is an Android 4.4 with a slight overlay Jiayu, we do not find specific applications. All useful apps are already present. The Play Store is of course of the game to download thousands of applications and games.<\/p>\n

The design of the overlay is fairly standard. Note that it is possible to customize the user experience a bit through various more or less successful themes, a nice touch.<\/p>\n

We also note the presence of Smart Gestures. For example, you can unlock the phone double tapping on the screen or draw a letter which will launch a particular application.<\/p>\n

In my use, I have found no bugs and no flow problem. Still, I used a lot, never off the phone.<\/p>\n

Network connectivity, GPS<\/h2>\n

The phone is dual SIM, which will easily have a SIM for your personal and professional use. Everything is managed from the parameters.<\/p>\n

Of course, the presence of 4G on all the frequencies required in France (800\/1800\/2600 MHz) and also in 3G (900\/2100 MHz).<\/p>\n

The network is good with this phone easily and quickly to find the network.<\/p>\n

I have used many times GPS, which is for me one of the best. The current location is quickly found, and the route to take. A big + for me!<\/p>\n

Autonomy<\/h2>\n

I was amazed by the battery of Jiayu S3. I tested it on a full day leaving the Internet, and he keeps his promises, he held until bedtime to 23h without any worry.<\/p>\n

It can hold in idle more than 24 hours, and has a very good battery life, even during long telephone conversations.<\/p>\n

Generally, when the battery is almost empty, it takes 3 hours to recharge fully.<\/p>\n
